How to install PVC wall panels
Most bathrooms can be panelled in 4–8 hours by a confident DIYer. Prepare a clean, dry, level surface, cut panels to size with a hand saw or jigsaw, apply solvent-free panel adhesive in vertical beads, slot the tongue into the groove of the previous panel, and seal corners with mould-resistant silicone. PVC Wall Panels — Frequently Asked Questions
Are PVC wall panels really waterproof?
Yes — PVC is non-porous, so water cannot soak into the panel. When installed correctly with our matching trims and a quality silicone seal, they create a fully watertight wall suitable for showers and wet rooms.
Can I install PVC wall panels over existing tiles?
Yes — provided the existing tiles are solid and well-bonded. PVC panels can be glued straight over the top, saving you the cost and mess of removing old tiles. Wipe tiles clean of any soap residue before applying adhesive.
Are PVC wall panels fire-rated?
Our heavy-duty 8mm and 10mm panels are Class 1 fire-rated to BS 476-7, suitable for residential and most commercial use.
How do I clean PVC wall panels?
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent. No abrasive cleaners or scouring pads — they can dull the finish. The non-porous surface means no scrubbing, no mould, no grout to clean.
Will PVC panels go yellow over time?
Quality PVC panels (like ours) are UV-stabilised and won't yellow under normal indoor lighting. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight where possible.
Can I cut PVC wall panels?
Yes — use a fine-tooth hand saw, jigsaw or even a sharp Stanley knife (scoring multiple passes). Always cut on the patterned/decorative face for the cleanest edge.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes — UK mainland delivery, with free shipping on pallet orders. Most non-pallet orders arrive within 2–5 working days from our Durham warehouse.
Do you offer free samples?
Yes — order a sample to check the finish in your own lighting before committing.
